Vegetable prices rise

 

According to MOA's Agri-product Wholesale Market Information Network, the Nationwide Agri-product Wholesale Price Index for the 4th week of 2015 (Jan. 26-Feb. 1, 2015) is 205.88 (year 2000=100), increasing by 1.94 points from the previous week. The Nationwide Non-staple Agri-food Wholesale Price Index is 207.82, increasing by 2.36 points from the previous week. The trade volume of 60 items in 50 intensively monitored wholesale markets is 622,600 tons, increasing by 2.5% from the previous week.

4.    Out of the 28 intensively monitored vegetables, 23 witnessed price increase, 4 saw price drop, and the other one remained the same prices compared with the previous week.

5.    Price increase was within 10%.
