Kemin introduces new egg additive
Kemin Industries has introduced Organic ORO GLO® for the North American market, which helps organic egg producers intensify the colour of egg yolks and add lutein content.
Lutein, a carotenoid, protects eye health and can minimise the impacts of age-related macular degeneration.
For years, the layer industry has relied on ORO GLO to improve lutein value, but most of all, add colour to egg yolk.Egg producers target higher levels of lutein which bolsters product value while also providing consumers health benefit.

Kemin worked with suppliers to source certified organic marigold petals which makes the additive compliant with requirements of the USDA National Organic Program (NOP).Organic ORO GLO, available in dry form, delivers consistent pigment colour density.
