Selected non-staple agri-food prices - 10th week of 2015

Egg, pork and vegetable prices continue to drop

 

According to MOA's Agri-product Wholesale Market Information Network, the Nationwide Agri-product Wholesale Price Index for the 10th week of 2015 (March. 9-15, 2015) is 206.54 (year 2000=100), decreasing by 3.90 points from the previous week. The Nationwide Non-staple Agri-food Wholesale Price Index is 208.51, decreasing by 4.65 points from the previous week. The trade volume of 60 items in 50 intensively monitored wholesale markets is 566,900 tons, increasing by 3.9% from the previous week.

2.   The total trade volume in 50 intensively monitored major wholesale markets.

3.   The price dropped for 3 consecutive weeks, the drop range decreased by 2.8 percentage points from the previous week.

4.   Out of the 28 intensively monitored vegetables, 8 witnessed price increase, 19 saw price drop, and the other one remained the same price compared with the previous week.

5.   Price change was within 5%.
