This variety is the first in a line of early-maturing soybeans that will give growers in shorter-season geographies the opportunity to broaden their crop rotation and take advantage of this rapidly growing soybeanmarket.S0009-M2 is a high-yielding, Genuity® Roundup Ready2Yield® variety that is well suited for soybean production in the Prairie provinces. With a 2275 CHU rating, S0009-M2 reaches full maturity in 107 days, onaverage.This variety offers a very good disease package that includes the Rps6 gene for Phytophthora root rot field tolerance, as well as very good white mold and iron deficiency chlorosis (IDC) resistance. Limited seed quantities will be available for seeding in2016.“Expansion of soybean acres in Western Canada is dependent on access to varieties that mature early enough, while still producing quality
beans
