The sixth national training class (agritourism session) for officials of major agriculture, livestock and fishery counties in 2015 opened in Agriculture Management Institute of MOA on April 13, 2015. Yang Shaopin, Member of CPC Leading Group of the Ministry of Agriculture, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech.
Yang pointed out that as a new industry and a new consumption choice, agritourism owns various functions in increasing income, creating more jobs, protecting and inheriting farming civilization and improving the rural environment. It is an economic growth point with huge potentials to thrive new rural industries in the time to come.
The 5-day training class included 7 lectures focusing on the sustainable and health development, creative design, credit, financing and brand building of agritourism, field study activities and seminars on policy support, infrastructure upgrade, standardized management, environmental protection, and so on.
Totally 114 officials attended this training class, including officials in charge of agricultural departments from national agritourism demonstration counties and representatives of MOA.
