Marvin said the new employees were hired to meet increased demand for Inocucor's Garden SolutionTM, the company's first product, a biological accelerator for high-value produce that is gaining momentum with producers in the Carolinas, Florida, Georgia and Virginia."Our first customers are spreading the word to their colleagues who are looking for biological products to naturally increase yields, shorten time to harvest and improve soils," said Marvin. "Our new current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) pilot production facility in Montreal is scaling up to meet this demand and to continue development of our next-generation bio-stimulation products for production agriculture, which are gaining traction with collaborators in Canada and the United States."Sustainable agriculture professional Patricia Tripp is Inocucor's Regional Sales Manager for Virginia and North Carolina. Tripp has 18 years of experience in the
food
industry, specializing in sustainable agriculture production systems, post-harvest physiology, food safety and the biological dimensions of soil health. She founded Artisan Food Solutions and partners with industry professionals, nonprofits, government and academia to assist value-added produce growers. She holds a M.S. in Agricultural & Life Sciences from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and a B.S. in Chemistry from Bluefield College.Ramesh Murugesan joins the production staff at Inocucor's new cGMP manufacturing facility in Technoparc Montreal as Senior Process Development Engineer. He recently completed his Ph.D. at McGill University in Montreal, where worked with biological materials and fermentation to develop new products as part of International Development Research Centre (IDRC) project. He previously worked as a Manufacturing Executive with National Biscuit Industries Ltd. in Muscat, Oman, and Asst. Manager (Quality Control) for ITC Ltd. (Foods Division) in Chennai, India. He holds a Ph.D. and a M.Sc. in Bioresource Engineering from McGill University and a B.Tech. in Food Process Engineering from Tamilnadu Agricultural University, India.Jim Samaha has joined Inocucor as Finance Manager following finance management positions with 5N Plus Inc. in Saint-Laurent, Quebec, and ITT Water & Wastewater, now called Xylem Canada, in Pointe-Claire, Quebec. He earned his CMA at Hautes Études Commerciale in Montreal and is a CPA.Inocucor was founded in 2007 by two Canadian scientists, Dr. Margaret Bywater–Ekegärd and Ananda Lynn Fitzsimmons, who combined their knowledge of the human and plant microbiomes to create biological soil and plant accelerators for agriculture.
