Guangzhou China, August 1, 2011 - Domestic pesticide market in H2 2011 has been warm compared with the corresponding period last year. The reasons are as fellow. First, pests in wheat and rape are more serious than last year. Secondly, diseases prevention areas have increased. Third, the need of epidemic prevention as an aftermath of drought, and the demand of most pesticides have increased.
It is estimated that sales will increase in H2 2011, and the usage of import pesticide is obvious adscendent tendency.
According to some projects, occurrence degree of pest and disease is more serious than the corresponding period last year on rice and cotton market. The number of Rice Planthopper, Tryporyza Incertulas and Rice Leaf Roller is increasing, causing sales of many insecticides to be up, like Pymetrozine, Buprofezin, Chlorpyrifos, Triazophos and Abamectin. Some pesticides are in short supply, such as Carbosulfan, Acetamiprid. So the demand of pesticide will drive up in H2 2011
In addition, the whole price of pesticides will keep slight downtrend. With the price of crude oil and coal dropping, price of raw materials for pesticides will gradually stabilize. Besides, as lacking of funds, manufacturers are difficulty to expand their market, so the market share of import product will be up in H2 2011.
