Vice Minister Qu Dongyu attends Agrobusiness Forum of BRICS Countries

The Agrobusiness Forum of the BRICS countries opened in Moscow, capital of Russia on October 8, 2015. The theme of the forum was Development of mutual trade and investments - basis for sustainable development of Agriculture in BRICS countries. Vice Minister Qu Dongyu attended the forum and delivered a keynote speech.
 
Vice Minister Qu pointed out that agricultural cooperation is an integral part of the cooperation mechanism of the BRICS countries. China is ready to further promote an all-round and multilevel cooperation in agricultural trade and investment under the BRICS framework. To this end, he put forward a three-point proposal:
 

First, improve the channels of agricultural trade & economic cooperation, provide facilitation, expand the trade scale and diversify product items to boost agricultural trade;

 

second, make good efforts in top-level design, provide convenience and create a favorable environment for mutual agricultural investment;

 

third, launch the BRICS agricultural information system to share the information of policies and cooperation demand, and build up a more efficient information exchange system.

 

The Russian, Brazilian and South African Agricultural Ministers and Vice Minister of India attended the forum. And more than 200 participants from IFAD, FAO and international companies took part in the forum.

 

During the forum, Vice Minister Qu also attended the opening ceremony of the 17th Russia Agro-Industrial Exhibition named "Golden Autumn". MOA organized 46 Chinese agricultural enterprises to participate the exhibition.
