Vice Minister Qu Dongyu meets Dutch State Secretary for agriculture

Vice Minister Qu Dongyu met Ms. Sharon Dijksma, State Secretary for agriculture of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation of the Netherlands, in Beijing on Oct. 26, 2015. The two sides exchanged views on deepening bilateral agricultural cooperation.
Both sides spoke highly of the fruitful cooperation in agricultural research, trade and investment in recent years. Vice Minister Qu pointed out that technology cooperation is a priority of agricultural cooperation. To ensure a bright future for the bilateral agricultural cooperation, we must integrate Dutch competitive agricultural technologies with China''s market demands and agricultural conditions.
Ms. Dijksma fully agreed with Vice Minister Qu on his comments. The two sides also frankly exchanged views on issues including antibiotic resistance, animal health and welfare and policies on foreign investment in seed industry.
Officials from the Department of International Cooperation, the Department of Seed Management and the Bureau of Veterinary Services of MOA also attended the meeting.
