Weak pre-May Day market fails to lift China lysine prices
Lysine prices remained soft during the week ending April 26.
Demand for lysine improved as hog sales increased due to the preparation for May Day holidays. However, feed millers limited lysine purchases while the inventories of hog remained low and hog demand fell below expectations amid historic high prices.
Price quotes of 98.5-percent lysine were in the range of RMB7.50-7.60/kg.
Demand or lysine is poised to remain stable in the coming days.
