Vice Minister Qu Dongyu met with Mr. Bogdan Igi?, State Secretary of Serbian Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection, in Kunming, Yunnan on Nov. 5, 2016. The two sides exchanged views on strengthening agricultural cooperation between China and Serbia.
At the meeting, Vice Minister Qu welcomed Mr. Igi?'s visit to China and his participation in the Meeting of China-CEEC Ministers of Agriculture and International Forum on Agro-Trade and Economic Cooperation held in Kunming. Vice Minister Qu said that the China-Serbia agricultural cooperation mechanism has continued to improve, and the bilateral and multilateral agricultural cooperation has been constantly deepening and expanding. China will encourage its enterprises to invest in Serbia to enhance Serbia's agricultural production capacity, strengthen cooperation in agricultural trade, and promote the bilateral cooperation by taking full advantage of the "16+1' (China-CEEC) cooperation mechanism.
Mr. Igi? also gave positive responses to Vice Minister Qu's suggestions and expressed his willingness to make joint efforts with China for better agricultural cooperation.
